"The Enid Blyton Book of Brownies" by Enid Blyton was published in 1926, and is still considered as one of her greatest works for children. This is the story of three little naughty brownies: Hop, Skip and Jump, who are tricked by Witch Green-eyes to help her to kidnap the Princess Peronel. They are exiled from Fairyland until they find their 'Goodness'. They decide to save the Princess from the Witch and have many adventures.

This book is about the adventures that the brownies have during rescuing the princess and to regain themselves in the eyes of the king of Fairyland. They are naughty, and rather mischievous, but they are barely bad. They are like three children who all want to have fun, but to still too young to realise the consequences of their actions. These three brownies are also very clever, since they manage to outsmart the people in the land of the Clever People. Their adventures include challenging many situations like being caught in a cottage without a door, and accidentally colliding into the island of the red goblin, and then in an island of giants. They also had an adventure in the Land of clever people where they had to always speak in rhyme and make up riddles everyday, then in the green railway and also the toadstool town. They also had to fight the Golden dwarf, and rescue the Dragon-bird and finally, after encountering numerous adventures, they rescue the princess.

This book was one of her books that takes me back to as a child. This book is not like other, because the stories are connected rather than being a collection of simple fairy stories. I liked her experimenting new ways and breaking the way that all fairy tales are designed. To me, this book is really cool and fun. I loved this book and so will you.
